Service Port HVAC: Locations

1. A/C compressor (Zexel)
Low pressure connection
High pressure connection

Note: The variable displacement A/C compressor varies piston stroke and output depending on load requirements and suction pressure.

CAUTION: Discharge A/C refrigerant system before removing A/C compressor speed sensor.

2. A/C compressor speed sensor
3. A/C compressor clutch

CAUTION: Remove the drain plug only after the compressor has been removed. It is used only to drain oil from old compressor and to check oil level in a new compressor

4. Oil drain plug

WARNING: Discharge A/C refrigerant system before removing pressure relief valve.

5. Pressure relief valve
6. Service valve (high pressure)
For A/C refrigerant high pressure switch
Remove switch and connect A/C high pressure gauge when checking pressures, discharging, evacuating or charging system

Note: For checking system pressure, remove A/C refrigerant high pressure switch and reconnect to connector.

7. A/C refrigerant high pressure switch

8. Condenser

9. Service valve (high pressure)
For A/C high pressure switch
Remove switch and connect A/C high pressure gauge when checking pressures, discharging, evacuating or charging system

10. A/C refrigerant high pressure switch
11. Refrigerant line connection
12. Restrictor
13. Evaporator
Intake connection

Note: The evaporator housing cannot be disassembled and must be replaced as an assembly

14. A/C refrigerant low pressure switch
15. Service valve (low pressure)
For A/C refrigerant low pressure switch
Remove switch and connect A/C low pressure gauge when checking pressures, discharging, evacuating or charging system

Note: When checking system pressures and/ or charging/discharging, bridge connector terminals of A/C refrigerant low pressure switch

16. Accumulator (reservoir)

17. Service valve (low pressure)
Connect A/C low pressure gauge when checking pressures, discharging, evacuating or charging system

18. Cap
