Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

^ Tools Required
- J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Install the J 28467-360.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the case side cover.
5. Remove the wiring harness as necessary.





6. Remove the oil pump to valve body bolts.
7. Inspect the oil pump.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the oil pump to the valve body.





2. Install the oil pump to valve body bolts.

NOTICE: Use a torque wrench to tighten the pump to valve body bolts. Do not exceed the torque specifications.





3. Install the wiring harness, if removed.
4. Install the case side cover.
6. Remove the J 28467-360.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
