Radiator: Service and Repair
Removal ProcedureCaution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Vehicle Lift Points.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. Remove the upper fan mounting bolts.
4. Remove the upper radiator panel.
5. Disconnect the radiator hoses from the radiator.
6. Disconnect the coolant recovery hose from the radiator neck.
7. Disconnect the electric cooling fan electric connector.
8. Disconnect the transaxle oil cooler lines from the radiator side tank.
9. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the radiator to the vehicle. Place the bottom of the radiator in the lower pads.
2. Connect the transaxle oil cooler lines to the radiator.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Tighten the transaxle oil cooler lines to the radiator.
- Tighten the transaxle oil cooler line fittings to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the upper radiator panel.
- Tighten the upper radiator panel mounting bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
5. Connect the radiator hoses to the radiator.
6. Connect the coolant recovery hose to the radiator neck.
7. Install the cooling fan assembly and the fan attaching bolts.
- Tighten the cooling fan bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
8. Connect the fan connector.
9. Refill the engine coolant.
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
11. Check for leaks.
