Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the intake manifold cover.
2. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (4) from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve.




3. Disconnect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting (1) from the solenoid purge valve (2).




4. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid valve bolt.
5. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid valve.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the EVAP purge solenoid valve.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the EVAP purge solenoid valve bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting (1) to the solenoid purge valve (2).




4. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (4) to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
5. Install the intake manifold cover.
