Knee Diverter: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDUREKnee Bolster Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Remove left sound insulator.
2. Remove knee bolster trim panel.
3. Remove the DLC (1) from knee bolster.
4. Remove the lap cooler duct.
5. Remove four fasteners (2) securing knee bolster reinforcement to the IP lower.
6. Remove knee bolster reinforcement (3).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Knee Bolster Replacement: Installation Procedure:
1. Align knee bolster reinforcement (3) to lower IP and install fasteners.
2. Install the four fasteners (2) from knee bolster reinforcement to the IP lower.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Install the DLC (1) to the knee bolster.
4. Install the lap cooler duct.
5. Install knee holster trim panel.
6. Install left sound insulator.
