Wiper Motor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator




1. Remove the wiper arm and blade assemblies.
2. Remove the air inlet screen from the vehicle.
3. Remove the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39232.




4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove the three screws and the wiper motor from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the wiper motor onto the vehicle with three screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.




3. Install the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm ball using the J 39529. Ensure that the socket is fully seated on the ball.
4. Install the air inlet grille panel onto the vehicle.
5. Install the wiper arms.
