Transmission Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Support the transmission using a transmission jack.
3. Remove the crossmember-to-transmission mount nuts (1).
4. Remove the crossmember-to-body bolts (2).
5. Remove the crossmember.





6. Remove the transmission mount-to-case bolts (1).
7. Remove the transmission mount.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transmission mount.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the transmission mount bolts (1).
^ Tighten the transmission mount bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the crossmember.
4. Install the crossmember-to-body bolts (2).
^ Tighten the crossmember-to-body bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the crossmember-to-transmission mount nuts (1).
^ Tighten the crossmember-to-transmission mount nuts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove the transmission jack.
7. Lower the vehicle.
