Windshield Washer Spray Nozzle: Service and Repair

HEADLAMP WASHER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the headlamp. Headlamp Replacement (SLS, W/O TT6, TT7 or TT8) or Headlamp Replacement (STS and SLS with TT6, TT7 or TT8) in Lighting and Horns.
2. Depress the tab (2) on the headlamp washer hose connection, in order to disconnect the headlamp washer hose (1).




3. Grasp the washer nozzle cover (1) and pull out (away from the bumper cover).
4. While holding the washer nozzle (3) out, release the washer nozzle cover (1) from the washer nozzle (3) by releasing the snap tabs (2) on each side of the nozzle cover (1).




5. Remove the fasteners (1) that retain the headlamp washer assembly (2) to the vehicle.




6. Remove the headlamp washer nozzle assembly (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the headlamp washer nozzle assembly (1) to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




2. Install the fasteners (1) that retain the headlamp washer assembly (2) to the vehicle.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).




3. Pull the washer nozzle away (1) from the bumper.
4. While holding the washer nozzle out, snap the washer nozzle cover (1) onto the washer nozzle (2).




5. Connect the headlamp washer hose. Engage the male end of the headlamp washer hose (1) into the female of the end of the headlamp washer hose (2) with a firm push.
6. Install the headlamp. Headlamp Replacement (SLS, W/O TT6, TT7 or TT8) or Headlamp Replacement (STS and SLS with TT6, TT7 or TT8) in Lighting and Horns.
