SERVICE PORTS REPLACEMENTTOOLS REQUIRED
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the service fitting from the evaporator hose assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the O-ring with 525 refrigerant oil.
2. Install the service fitting to the evaporator hose assembly.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the service fitting to 12 N.m (9 lb ft).
3. Recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
4. Leak test the fittings of the repaired or reinstalled components using J 39400.
