Steering Column Jacket Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the steering column tilt head (1). Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Replacement.
3. Check the steering column for accident damage. Refer to Steering Column Accident Damage Inspection.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering column tilt head (1). Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Replacement.
2. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Restraint Systems.
