OIL FILTER BYPASS VALVE:

Re-released to update vehicles affected. Previously released as 83-I-99.

Whenever a repair requires replacement of the engine block, it will be necessary to remove the oil filter bypass valve assembly and reinstall it in the new block. If a new oil filter bypass check valve assembly is required, it will be necessary to order P/N 25010497 through WDDGM (refer to the illustration below).
