Some front roof hold down bracket "tee nuts" may become damaged. If the "tee nuts" have been damaged, the following steps are recommended:

1. If the threads in the "tee nuts" do not appear to be excessively damaged, an attempt to retap may be made using an 8 mm x 1.25 mm tap.

2. If the retap does not result in a satisfactory thread, a new tapping plate should be installed. This tapping plate is part of a repair kit (P/N 14084402) which will be available from WDDGM around April, 1984. This kit includes a new tapping plate, cover plate, template, roof attaching bolts, attaching hardware and an instruction sheet. Refer to Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 84-25 for roof panel adjustment.
