TRANSAXLE (OPTION CODE MD9)
TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS
Some 1985 and 1986 Cavalier cars with THM 125C automatic, transaxles (MD9) may exhibit a noise generated by an interference condition between the plastic converter cover and the flexplate.
TRANSAXLE CONVERTER COVER:
Vehicles exhibiting this condition may be repaired by trimming the converter cover in the area of the interference as shown in the illustration.
Use applicable labor time and operation number add 0.1 hours for trimming cover.
