Service Procedure

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Remove right side (passenger) kick panel.

3. Remove ECM connector and remove rubber band over ECM.

4. Remove ECM.

5. Remove PROM.

6. Install new PROM.

7. Reinstall ECM.

8. Reinstall rubber band over ECM and reinstall ECM connector.

9. Reinstall right side (passenger) kick panel.

10. For vehicles with automatic transmissions perform the following steps. Proceed to step 11 for vehicles with manual transmissions.

a. Locate spark delay valve on engine compartment dash panel between vacuum switch valve and ventilation valve.

b. Remove spark delay valve.

c. Install new spark delay valve.

11. Reconnect negative battery cable.

12. Install Campaign Identification Label.
