REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain and recover coolant until level is below thermostat.
3. Thermostat housing bolts.
4. Thermostat housing and thermostat.
5. Clean intake manifold and thermostat housing mating surfaces.


INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Thermostat.
2. Thermostat housing.
3. Thermostat housing bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.).
4. Engine coolant. Refill and bleed cooling system as needed.
5. Negative battery cable.
6. Inspect for leaks.
