Heater Hose: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the engine cooling system.
2. Release the heater core inlet hose clamps at the bulkhead and:
^ At the intake manifold - 1.0L
^ At the thermostat housing - 1.3L
3. Remove the heater core inlet hose.
4. Release the heater core outlet hose clamps at the bulkhead and at the radiator inlet hose:
^ Running along the top of the transaxle - 1.0L
^ Above the starter - 1.3L
5. Remove the heater core outlet hose.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the heater core inlet hose to the bulkhead and:
^ To the intake manifold - 1.0L
^ To the thermostat housing - 1.3L
2. Secure the hose with clamps.
3. Connect the heater core outlet hose to the bulkhead and to the radiator inlet hose:
^ Running along the top of the transaxle - 1.0L
^ Above the starter - 1.3L
4. Secure the hose with clamps.
5. Refill the engine cooling system.
