Steering Column Jacket - Assemble

Assembly Procedure





1. Install the following into the steering column housing assembly (1):
1.1. The bearing retainer (2).
1.2. The mounting plate (3).





2. Install the steering column housing assembly (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the 3 adapter screws (1).
Tighten the screws to 5.7 Nm (50 inch lbs.).
4. Install the ignition switch assembly only. Refer to Ignition Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
5. Install the lock housing assembly. Refer to Lock Housing Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
