Wiper Motor Replacement

TOOLS REQUIRED
^ J 39232 Wiper Linkage Separator
^ J 39529 Wiper Linkage Installer

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the wiper motor fuse. The wiper motor fuse is located in the instrument panel electrical center.
2. Remove the wiper arm assemblies. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement.
3. Remove the air inlet screen.
4. Remove the wiper motor module.
5. Disconnect the wiper transmission linkage from the crank arm using J39232.
6. Remove the 3 TORX(R) head screws retraining the wiper motor to the wiper motor module.
7. Remove the wiper motor from the wiper motor module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the wiper motor into the wiper motor module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 3 wiper motor mounting TORX(R) head screws.

Tighten
Tighten the wiper motor screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the wiper transmission linkage to the crank arm using tool J 39529.
4. Install the wiper motor module into the vehicle.
5. Install the air inlet screen.
6. Install the wiper arm assemblies.
7. Install the wiper motor fuse.
