Shift Lever Replacement - On Vehicle
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle.





2. Slide the shift lever seal (2) up the shift lever (4).
3. Remove the shift lever screw (3).
4. Remove the shift lever (4).

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the shift lever (4) and secure it with the shift lever screw (3).
Tighten the shift lever screw to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Slide the shift lever seal (2) down the shift lever (4).
3. Install the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle.
