Air Door Cable: Service and Repair

TEMPERATURE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the IP trim plate.
2. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the temperature door lever.
3. Remove the cable clip retaining screw.




4. Remove the HVAC control assembly.
5. Remove the cable cover.
6. Remove the cable clip from the HVAC control assembly.
7. Remove the temperature control cable.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the temperature control cable to the HVAC control assembly.
2. Lock the cable clip to the HVAC control assembly.
3. Install the cable cover.




4. Install the cable to the temperature door lever.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the cable clip and screw to the HVAC module assembly.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the HVAC control assembly.
7. Install the IP trim plate.
