Daytime Running Lamp Resistor: Service and Repair

DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) RESISTOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the right headlamp assembly.




3. Disconnect the daytime running lamp (DRL) resistor electrical connector.
4. Remove the DRL resistor bolt.
5. Remove the DRL resistor from the frame rail.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the DRL resistor to the right frame rail.
2. Install the DRL resistor bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

3. Connect the DRL resistor electrical connector.
4. Install the right headlamp assembly.
5. Close the hood.
