with 2.5L L6 Engine (VIN L - RPO LBK)
Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint 5B169699

Condition
Some customers may comment that fuel gauge reads near full when the actual fuel level is 1/4 tank (or less) or fuel gauge level is erratic during driving.

Cause
Contaminates on the fuel sending card may cause erratic fuel gauge readings.

Correction
Replace the fuel sender assembly with P/N 96444818. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement SI Document ID# 1539200.
