Ashtray Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the console cover.

3. Remove the screws and the ashtray trim panel.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

5. Remove the cigar lighter. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement Service and Repair.

6. Remove the ashtray lamp. Refer to Ashtray Lamp Bulb Replacement Ashtray Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the ashtray lamp. Refer to Ashtray Lamp Bulb Replacement Ashtray Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.

2. Install the cigar lighter. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement Service and Repair.

3. Connect the electrical connector.

Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the screws and the ashtray trim panel.

Tighten the ashtray housing screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

5. Install the console cover.

6. Connect the negative battery cable.
