Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Turn the ignition switch to the off position.
2. Disconnect the electronic throttle control (ETC) connector from the accelerator pedal.




3. Remove the 3 accelerator pedal retaining bolts.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the accelerator pedal.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the 3 accelerator pedal retaining nuts.

Tighten the upper accelerator pedal retaining bolts (1) to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Tighten the lower accelerator pedal retaining bolt (2) to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).

3. Connect the ETC connector to the accelerator pedal.
