Drive Axle Shaft Seal Replacement

Tools Required

DT 46470 (DW260-030) Differential Oil Seal Installer

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the drive axles.
Important: Do not damage the bore of the transaxle case.


3. Use a screwdriver to remove the transaxle drive seal. If necessary, crush the seal first with the screwdriver in order to loosen the seal from the case.

Installation Procedure




1. Use the DT 46470 (1) to install the transaxle drive seal.
2. Install the drive axles.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
