Shock Sensor: Service and Repair

SHOCK SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel Gauges and Warning indicators.
2. Disconnect the shock sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the shock sensor from the instrument panel knee bolster bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the shock sensor mounting surface is clean and free of all oils.




1. Install the shock sensor to the instrument panel knee bolster bracket.
2. Connect the shock sensor electrical connector.

IMPORTANT: Verify proper shock sensor operation.

3. Install the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel Gauges and Warning Indicators.
