Wiper Motor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the washer solvent container screws from the washer solvent container.
2. Rotate the washer solvent container toward the front of the vehicle to position it out of the way.




3. Remove the crank arm from the wiper motor.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove the wiper drive system module to wiper motor screws.
6. Remove the wiper motor from the wiper drive system module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the wiper motor to the wiper drive system module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the wiper drive system module to wiper motor screws.

Tighten
Tighten the wiper drive system module to wiper motor screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
4. Install the crank arm on the wiper motor.




5. Rotate the washer solvent container into the installation position.
6. Install the washer solvent container screws.

Tighten
Tighten the washer solvent container screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

7. Inspect the wipers for proper operation.
