Water Pump Replacement (2.5L Engine)

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Drain the engine coolant.
4. Remove the engine front cover.
5. Remove the water pump bolts (1) and the water pump (2)

Installation Procedure





1. Install new O-rings (1) to the water pump (2).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Insert the water pump (2) to the cylinder block.
- Tighten the bolts (1) to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the engine front cover.
4. Refill the engine coolant.
5. Refill the engine oil.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Check the systems for leaks.
