Engine Oil Cooler Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the radiator air baffle.
3. Place a suitable drain pan under the oil filter.
4. Remove the oil filter.
5. Reposition the oil cooler outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
6. Remove the oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler fitting.
7. Reposition the oil cooler inlet hose clamp at the engine.
8. Remove the oil cooler inlet hose from the engine fitting.
9. Remove the oil cooler connector.
10. Remove the oil cooler and gasket from the oil filter adapter.
11. If replacing the oil cooler, reposition the oil cooler inlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
12. Remove the oil cooler inlet hose from the oil cooler.
Installation Procedure
1. If the oil cooler was replaced, install the oil cooler inlet hose to the oil cooler.
2. Position the oil cooler inlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
3. Install the NEW oil cooler gasket onto the oil cooler.
4. Install the oil cooler and gasket to the oil filter adapter.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
5. Install the oil cooler connector.
Tighten the connector to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
6. Install the oil cooler inlet hose to the engine fitting.
7. Position the oil cooler inlet hose clamp at the engine.
8. Install the oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler fitting.
9. Position the oil cooler outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
10. Install the oil filter.
Tighten the filter to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
11. Remove the drain pan from under the oil filter.
12. Install the radiator air baffle.
13. Fill the cooling system.
14. Check and fill the crankcase, if necessary.
