Metering Rod Service Note

NOTE: The metering rods are preset to specifications by the manufacturer.
- No additional adjustment should be attempted since an accurate adjustment cannot be made in the field.
- An improper adjustment may result in the exhaust emissions exceeding specifications.
- Also, maladjustment of the metering rods may prevent the carburetor from returning to the idle position from wide open throttle (WOT) due to throttle shaft binding, resulting in poor fuel economy.
