Rear Window
REAR WINDOWREMOVAL
1. Roll down both door windows.
2. Unlatch the convertible top.

3. Remove the front and rear weatherstrip retainers. (Fig. 1)
4. Drill out the rivets (two per side) at the bottom of cover assembly to the linkage on both sides.
5. Drill out the tension cable rivets.
6. Pull tension cable through the cover assembly.

7. Pull off the trim welt and uncover the tack strips. (Fig. 6)
8. Pull the staples from the welt.
9. Disconnect the rear window defroster electrical connectors.
10. Remove the 14 tack strip nuts.
11. Pull the staples from the side panels.
12. Flip the top cover up.

13. Remove the staples from the backlite fabric to tack strip. (Fig. 7)
14. Remove the staples from the backlite fabric to the rear/4 bow and remove the backlite.
INSTALLATION
1. Using the old rear window, trim the excess material from the new window.
2. Position the window onto the rear/4 bow and staple into place.
3. Position the lower window fabric onto the tack strips and staple into place.
4. Flip the cover down over the rear window and position the side panels onto the tack strips.
5. Staple the side panels into place.
6. Install the tack strips over the studs and install the nuts.
7. Tighten the tack strip nuts to 12 N.m (9 ft.lbs.).
8. Connect the rear window defroster electrical connectors.
9. Position the trim welt and staple into place.
10. Position the tension cable through the cover assembly and replace the rivets.
11. Position the cover assembly at the door opening and install new rivets attaching it to the linkage.
12. Install new butyl patches on the tack strip support panel to the clip joint for sealing the tub area.
13. Install new butyl patches on the tack strip support panel to the clip joint for sealing the tub area.
14. Install the front and rear weatherstrip retainers.
15. Close and latch the convertible top and check for fit.
