GENERAL INFORMATION:

The ignition distributor has been modified as follows:




^ One spring has been removed from the centrifugal advance weights.

^ An advance limiter has been installed in its place.

^ The centrifugal advance curve has been precisely calibrated for maximum performance and reliability.

SERVICE INFORMATION:






Attached are the centrifugal and vacuum advance curves for the turbocharged engine distributor.

When servicing the ignition system, carefully set the ignition timing to specifications as follows:

8.5°BTDC @ 800-850 RPM


IMPORTANT:
Altering the ignition timing or centrifugal advance curve beyond the specifications listed could cause detonation and serious engine damage.

PARTS INFORMATION:

The part number for the turbocharged engine distributor is 5108.

The naturally aspirated engine distributor (4430224) and turbocharged engine distributor (5108) are not interchangeable.

Actual degrees advance (distributor) equal one-half the value of the degrees advance (engine) shown in the graphs.
