ISSUE: An intermittent stumble or stall while driving at low speeds up to 8 mph (13 km/h) may be caused by the EEC IV processor shutting off the fuel injector system. The EEC IV processor may incorrectly read sensor input signals and interpret them to indicate a vehicle speed that triggers a shut down of the fuel injector system.
ACTION: To correct this, install a new level EEC IV processor. Refer to the following EEC IV processor application chart for the correct service replacement part number.

Obtain an Authorized Modification Decal and list the date, dealer number, and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modification Decal. Clean the area, install the decal and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
