Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Removal


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from module.
3. Remove module mounting bolt, then the module. To release module from tear-drop hole in right inner fender apron, slide assembly toward the front of the vehicle.

Installation

1. Insert rivet of module into tear-drop mounting hole on fender apron and push into position.
2. Install retaining screws, then torque screws to 22-31 inch lbs.
3. Connect electrical connector to the module.
4. Connect battery ground cable.
