Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove front door trim panel and front door inside panel sound insulator.
2. Remove inside belt weatherstrip.
3. Raise front door window glass to full-up position.
4. Remove front door glass run latch side retainer from door.
5. Lower front door window glass to gain access to front door window channel bracket and glass retention rivets.
6. Place a block of wood between bottom of door glass and outer door panel to support door glass during rivet removal.
7. Remove center pin from the glass retaining rivets using a drift punch. Then, use a 1/4-inch diameter drill and drill out each rivet.

CAUTION: Use care when drilling not to damage glass, front door window channel bracket , door window glass bracket spacers and door window glass channel bracket retainers.

8. Remove the front door window glass through the door belt opening.

INSTALLATION
1. Install door window glass bracket spacer and door window glass channel bracket retainer into glass retention holes.
2. Install front door window glass into front door through the belt opening.
3. Position the front door window glass to the front door window channel bracket and align into retaining holes.
4. Install retaining rivets.
5. Raise front door window glass to full up position.
6. Install front door glass run latch side retainer. Install screw and tighten to 10-14 Nm (89-124 lb-in).
7. Cycle front door window glass up and down to check operation.
8. Install inside belt weatherstrip.
9. Install front door inside panel sound insulator and front door trim panel.
