Brake Rotor/Disc: Service Precautions

CAUTION: Never refinish a disc brake rotor to the minimum wear or discard thickness. Measure the thickness of the disc brake rotor to determine if it is within the specification. Disc brake rotor minimum (discard) thickness is not the minimum refinishing dimension. The refinishing dimension is approximately 0.76 mm (0.030 inch) greater than the minimum (discard) thickness.
