Steering Damper: Service and Repair

Damper - F-250, F-350, 4x4, and F-450, F-550

Removal

NOTE: The procedure for the Super Duty F-250, F-350 4x2 steering damper is similar.

1. Position and lock the wheels in the straight-forward position. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the bolt and nut.





3. Remove the bolt and nut. Remove the damper.

Installation








1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
