The vane air temperature (VAT) sensor, Fig. 13, is an integral part of the vane air floe meter. The VAT sensor measures incoming air temperature and sends the information to the ECA. The ECA uses this for the control of air/fuel ratio, fuel pressure, idle speed and purge flow.
