On models equipped with automatic transaxle, the neutral safety switch (NSS), Fig.11 , detects transaxle in gear conditions and sends a signal to the ECA. The NSS input signal to the ECA affects air/fuel ratio, fuel pressure, idle speed and purge flow. The NSS is mounted on the transaxle assembly.
