Idle Speed

NOTE: Before adjusting the idle speed, make sure the ignition timing is adjusted to specifications. Turn off all lights and other unnecessary electrical loads. This adjustment must be done while the cooling fan motor is not operating.

1. Engine is to warmed up to normal operating temperature.
2. Attach a tachometer to test connector.
3. Check idle speed on the tachometer. If necessary, connect jumper wire between test connector and ground and turn the air adjustment screw to obtain the correct idle speed.
4. Remove the jumper wire and tachometer.
