Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair

TETHER ATTACHMENT INSTALLATION






1. Open the liftgate. Remove the trim plugs from the rear cargo area trim panel.






2. Install a 10 mm spacer and the anchor bracket with a bolt long enough to engage five full threads in the anchorage. Be sure that the anchor is within a 30 degree angle, as indicated.

WARNING: When the installation of the anchor bracket is not installed in accordance to the above directions, the degree of efficiency of the anchorage is reduced. Be sure to install the anchor bracket according to the instructions.
