INSTALLATION

Water Pump And Thermostat Assembly:

1. Position gasket to water pump (use contact cement). Position water pump to cylinder block and install three retaining bolts and tighten to 19-29 Nm (14-21 ft lb).

NOTE: Apply Pipe Sealant with Teflon D8AZ-19554-A or equivalent to water pump bolts prior to installation.

2. Install lower radiator hose to water pump.
3. Install heater hose to the water pump.
4. Install cam belt cover and retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to 8-12 Nm (6-9 ft lb).
5. Position water pump pulley to water pump and tighten bolts.
6. Position power steering and alternator drive belts to pulleys.
7. Position A/C compressor drive belt to respective pulleys.
8. Adjust drive belts.
9. Fill cooling system.
10. Start engine and check for leaks.
