Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove ignition coil and module bracket assembly.
3. Unfasten fuel filter bracket, then position filter and bracket aside.
4. Disconnect two electrical connectors leading to hydraulic actuation unit.
5. Disconnect brake lines from hydraulic actuation unit, then remove lines necessary for unit removal. Note routing of brake lines for installation reference.
6. Remove mounting nuts and washers, then carefully lift hydraulic actuation assembly from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque retaining nuts to 14-19 ft. lbs.
b. Torque brake lines to 10-16 ft. lbs.
c. Perform system brake bleeding procedures.
