Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVALNOTE: Whenever a refrigerant line is replaced, it will be necessary to replace the suction accumulator/drier.
1. Discharge the A/C system into an approved recovery device.
2. Remove all necessary refrigerant line attaching nuts and bolts.
3. If necessary, disconnect the single or dual function refrigerant containment switch electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the necessary spring lock couplings.
5. If the refrigerant line is connected to the A/C compressor, remove the manifold bolts.
CAUTION: Plug all ports to prevent the entrance of dirt and moisture.
6. Remove the refrigerant line.
INSTALLATION
1. If the refrigerant line connects to the A/C compressor, position the manifold (with new 0-rings) and install the manifold bolts. Tighten the manifold bolts to 18-23 N.m (13-18 lb-ft).
2. Use new 0-rings lubricated with clean refrigerant oil and connect the necessary spring lock couplings.
3. Install all necessary refrigerant line attaching nuts and bolts.
4. Leak test, evacuate, and charge the A/C system.
