Compressor to Condenser Line
REMOVAL
1. Discharge the A/C system into an approved recovery device. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Service and Repair, Refrigerant Recovery, Refrigerant Recovery
2. Remove the engine air cleaner.
3. Remove the radiator coolant recovery reservoir.
4. Disconnect the spring lock coupling.
5. Remove the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line bolt.
6. Raise and support the vehicle.
7. Remove the nine bolts and the two engine and transmission splash shields.
8. Remove the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line from the support clip.
9. Remove the two upper manifold bolts and the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line.
10. Remove and discard the two 0-rings from the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the above procedure.
^ Install new 0-rings lubricated with clean refrigerant oil on the manifold.
^ Tighten the manifold bolts to 18-23 N.m (13-17 lb-ft).
