Fluid Level Check

1. Apply the parking brake and ensure that the vehicle is in a level position.
2. Run the engine at normal idle speed. If the transmission fluid is cold, run the engine at fast idle speed (about 1200 rpm) for several minutes. When the transmission fluid is warm, slow the engine down to normal idle speed.
3. Apply the brakes firmly and shift the gearshift lever through all the gear positions. Place the gearshift lever in the PARK (P) position. Do not shut off the engine during the transmission fluid level checks.

4. Pull the fluid level indicator out of the oil filler tube, wipe it clean, and push it completely back into the oil filler tube. Ensure that the fluid level indicator is properly seated in the oil filler tube.

NOTE: Clean all dirt from the oil level indicator cap before removing the fluid level indicator from the transmission oil filler tube.

5. Pull the fluid level indicator out of the oil filler tube and check the transmission fluid level. The transmission fluid level should be between the L and F marks.
6. If necessary, add enough transmission fluid to the transaxle through the oil filler tube to bring the transmission fluid level between the L and F marks on the fluid level indicator. Do not overfill the transaxle.
7. Install the fluid level indicator in the oil filler tube.
