Purging

1. Check, and if necessary, fill the power steering pump reservoir with Premium Power Steering Fluid E6AZ-19582-AA or equivalent to the FULL mark on the power steering pump reservoir.
2. Raise and support the vehicle so that the front wheels are off the ground.
3. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
4. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left and right several times with the engine not running.
5. Recheck the fluid level. If it has dropped, add fluid.
6. Repeat the previous two steps until the fluid level stabilizes.
7. Start the engine and let it idle.

CAUTION: Do not hold the steering wheel against a stop for more than 10 seconds at a time.

8. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left and right several times.
9. Verify that the fluid is not foamy and that the fluid level has not dropped.
10. Add fluid if necessary and repeat the previous two steps.
