Battery Cleaning

1. Clean the battery and terminals with an acid-neutralizing solution such as a weak solution of ammonia and water.
2. Clean the battery cable clamps and battery terminals with a terminal cleaning brush.
3. Replace the battery ground cable and battery to starter relay cable if worn or frayed.
4. Test the battery to determine if it should be:
^ placed back in service.
^ recharged before being placed back in service.
^ replaced with a Motorcraft or equivalent battery.
5. Clean the battery tray with a wire brush and scraper.
