Removal and Installation

REMOVAL







The illustration shows the Generator (GEN) and related mounting components.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the B-terminal nut.
3. Remove the B-terminal lead.
4. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
5. Remove the generator adjustment bolt.
6. Raise the vehicle.
7. Remove the generator lower bolt.
8. Disconnect the generator/water pump drive belt from the generator pulley.
9. Remove the generator from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Adjust the generator/water pump drive belt.
3. Tighten the generator lower bolt to 37-52 N.m (27-38 lb-ft).
4. Tighten the generator adjustment bolt to 19-25 N.m (14-19 lb-ft).
