Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the radiator to gain access to the A/C tube spring lock coupling.
2. Discharge the A/C system into a proper recovery system. Discharging and Recovery
3. Use an appropriate spring lock coupling disconnect tool to disconnect the A/C compressor-to condenser discharge line A/C spring lock coupling near the top of the A/C condenser core. Discard the O-ring.
4. Use an appropriate spring lock coupling disconnect tool to disconnect the spring lock coupling from the condenser to evaporator tube at the base of the A/C condenser core. Discard the O-ring.
5. Remove the two A/C condenser mounting brackets.
6. Remove the A/C condenser core.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the A/C condenser core and install the A/C condenser mounting brackets.
2. Using new Orings lubricated with clean Motorcraft Refrigerant Oil YN-12b or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B, connect both spring lock couplings.
3. Install the radiator.
4. Add the correct amount of Motorcraft Refrigerant Oil YN-12b or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
5. Leak test, evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Service and Repair
